Despite the fervent anti-gun position the Lincoln Journal Star tends to take on boomstick issues, the paper does employ the best outdoors writer (and fellow gun guy) in the state.
Joe Duggan does his usual of outstanding job of writing a profile of Bedlan's Sporting Goods in Fairbury.
For those unfamiliar with the small store, owner Felix Bedlan is widely known as one of the pre-imminent Colt and Winchester experts in the world.

If one only read Duggan's articles, they might think that the Stinkin' Urinal-Jar was actually a good newspaper, not just a roll of leftist fishwrap. Unfortunately, the latter is the case.
I wish Duggan great success, and simultaneously dream of a wealthy, hard-right publisher that would start up a competing paper, then begin to use fire-sale cheap advertising (with the condition that the advertisers stop buying ads in the Urinal-Jar), and thus force that leftist rag into receivership. In other words...
Q: What is best in life?
A: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
