I stopped by Oak View, the sister mall to Westroads owned by the same property company.
Inside the main doors on the west side (facing 144th St.) I found these signs, one on each side of the entryway.
Please ignore item No. 13 (no photography without permission) and look at item No. 14... No weapons. I apologize for cutting the line off, but it's a big darn sign and my cell phone has limited wide angle... if you still want to read the words. Plus it was dark, so the illumination was courtesy a SureFire E2D.
I cannot logically verify Westroads sign by the presence of one at Oak View. However, the OWH article plus the shared management group tips the odds in my favor.
When Westroads opens tomorrow, I will hunt down their sign.
Stay safe;

I think that's supposed to be "Stopped by Oakview, sister Mall of Westroads...."

A story from this spring on Nebraska CCW mentions that Westroads added a no guns rule:

Do these signs have any law to back them up? ie. what happens if you are caught carrying in the mall?
Criminal violation. Loss of permit. Probable loss of pistol permit card. Gun crime on the record.
Other than that.... Nothing.
"When Westroads opens tomorrow, I will hunt down their sign."
Good hunting. See if you can find someone who happens to have a friend that is an employee who may know where the signs have disappeared to.

Why does it have to be one way or the other? It is our right to bare arms if we so wish to do so, as is our right to not bare arms if we so choose. If a place has a sign that says no guns, then respect it. It's not that they think you shouldn't be aloud to carry one, it's more others don't always feel safe and it's a liability.
